As promised, I’m back to give my recommendations on some good places to eat in Bermuda. I recently posted a guide about things to do and see on the island, so click HERE if you want to plan a trip or are just curious!
Let’s get started…
This is a French bistro located in Hamilton (the capital) that serves breakfast and lunch only. The food is pretty good and it’s not that pricey.
Address: 75 Pitts Bay Rd, Hamilton, Bermuda
The Snug Cafe
Another breakfast spot but a lot more casual. This is located inside a mini mall that’s kind of hidden, serving classic breakfast sandwiches.
Address: 69 Front St, Hamilton, Bermuda
Mickey’s Beach Bistro
A restaurant with the most beautiful view of Elbow Beach.
It’s kind of two restaurants together, one serving breakfast/brunch and the other for lunch and dinner (Mickey’s). It’s a bit pricey but manageable. We had a delicious fresh salad and a classic Bermudian fish soup that I did not care for lol.
Address: 60 South Shore, Elbow Beach, Sea Terrace, Paget PG 04, Bermuda
Devil’s Isle Cafe
My favorite restaurant in Bermuda, PERIOD! This place is so good we ended up going there twice. The service is very attentive, and the food is perfect. My favorite dish was short ribs with corn, mashed potatoes, and espresso sauce. Try this and thank me latter!
Address: 19 Burnaby St, City of Hamilton, Bermuda
A beautiful restaurant in Tobacco Bay with a nice balcony facing the water. They're famous for the fish sandwich. I wouldn't travel all the way from Hamilton just to eat there, but if you're around, definitely stop by.
Address: Advertised Opening hours are misleading, 5 Coot Pond Rd, St.George's, Bermuda
Marcus is most likely mentioned on any website as one of the best and most luxury places on the island. We were excited since this restaurant was in our hotel, so we made a reservation in advance.
We had a little problem in our hotel the first night we got there since we arrived very late and needed to eat. So we ordered a salad to go - very pricey, and once we opened the box at our room, it was a few pieces of old lettuce – really just HORRIBLE that we couldn't even believe it. We decided to send them an email, since we expected much better quality and they offered us a full refund, which was fine. The next day we had another issue with the hotel restaurant, so they decided to treat us to a dinner at Marcus on the house.
We received the most wonderful treatment a restaurant could ever give us, but it was probably because we complained. With that aside, the food was exceptional - the lobster tacos and the cauliflower wings were really awesome. The chef even came over to our table to explain the different dishes.
Address: 76 Pitts Bay Rd, Hamilton HM 08, Bermuda
Bailey’s Ice Cream Parlor
Just in case you go to Crystal Cave, stop by and refresh yourself with some yummy ice cream at Bailey’s, which is right near the entrance to Crystal.
Address: 2, Parish, Blue Hole Hill, Hamilton, Bermuda
I decided to add this place last because I wasn’t crazy about it, but it wasn’t bad either. I would suggest stopping by in the afternoon to have a drink on the terrace.
Address: 55 Front Street City of Hamilton BM 11, HM, Bermuda
Don't forget to try the two drinks Bermuda is known for – the Dark ’n Stormy made with rum and ginger beer (I did not care for this); and the Rum Swizzle (my favorite) made with rum and fruit juice. If you want to know how to save some money while there, check my other post HERE.
